There are numerous ways to establish a competitive advantage, the
key is that the customer is the one who decides if what you consider a competitive advantage really is an advantage.
Coke decided that a new taste would offer them a competitive advantage and introduced New Coke and discontinued the old recipe. Only after severe customer complaints and loss of market did they return with Classic Coke.
No one can be all things at all times. Those who try generally are 3rd rate at everything.
What is it that provides your organization with a competitive advantage? You should spend some time confirming that with other employees and more importantly with some customers.
