Any issue dealing with people calls for the individual to be considered. The answer today is not likely the answer for tomorrow. When selecting Six Sigma Plus Projects for Black Belts, it is important to remember that as the Black Belt gains experience, the types of projects and the challenge from those projects will need to grow.

Matching Black Belts and projects is an important Management responsibility for continued   Six Sigma Plus success. It is natural for the Champion or Manager as they gain comfort with  Six Sigma Plus, to want to address more difficult projects. This has to be balanced with the experience and skill level of the Blackbelt. 

In today’s market a Black Belt that is “not in the green”... is highly likely to consider one of the many opportunities available elsewhere. 

You should be exploring potential  Six Sigma Plus Projects. While it is not imperative at this point to have your project firmly identified, you should have a project before you complete all of the Modules in Block 1.
